For those who missed the first season of the critically acclaimed show can catch up with this extended recap posted below. Catch all the highlights and major plot points in under 7 minutes!

As a fan of the show I would still highly recommend watching Hannibal from episode one. NBC is notorious for canceling shows after a single season, which is a shame because a lot of it has to do with marketing. There seems to be this misconception that Hannibal is nothing more than your run of the mill police procedural and immediately gets bunched in with the countless other shows of this nature. Make no mistake, Hannibal is a high concept show with a very interesting and unique over-arching plot brought to life by a well-rounded cast. Laurence Fishburne stars as Jack Crawford, the head of the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit. Caroline Dhavernas and Hettienne Park also co-star in this gripping physiological thriller.

Although the show struggled to pull in the ratings executives were hoping for, NBC has decided to renew Hannibal for at least another 13 episodes. Hopefully season two can pull in enough viewers to keep the show alive. Hannibal will return to television February 28th on NBC.
