The new flavors offered in 2015 will include “Rah-Rah Raisins” which is an oatmeal cookie, “Trios” a gluten-free peanut butter oatmeal cookie and “Toffee-tastics” a gluten-free butter cookie with toffee pieces.
According to ABC News.com, the new cookie flavors will be sold on a limited trial basis in certain test markets throughout the country. (PCM) A stomach turning discovery was recently made at a San Francisco Chinese restaurant called Lucky River. An employee of the restaurant was caught tenderizing frozen meat outside on a dirty sidewalk.
The question in everyone’s mind after thinking about how disgusting this was, is also just why anyone would be slamming the sidewalk with pounds of frozen meat. The San Francisco health inspector paid a visit to the restaurant and when asked about the incident was told that the employee was only trying to defrost the meat.

Many people who are gearing up to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday received quite a scare when a “new report” began circulating online claiming that millions of frozen turkeys were being recalled.
The report claimed that the turkeys were being recalled because they contained a dangerous illness that could be transferred to humans and was not destroyed by cooking the bird. The fake report even quoted the CDC (Centers For Disease Control) claiming “The CDC has confirmed that millions of turkeys have been recalled due to safety concerns over an avian virus that the birds may be harboring.”

(PCM) Don’t worry neither had we until we discovered this odd ball culinary creation by UCLA college student Joshua Scherer. Scherer took Instant Ramen, the poor college student’s meal of choice and crafted it into the “Ramnut”.
Yes, the “Ramnut” is a doughnut created by mixing Instant Ramen noodles with various other ingredients. Scherer says creating the “Ramnut” took six packs of ramen and about twelve hours to complete.
The ‘Ramnut’s’ are boiled in horchata (cinnamon-spiced milk), molded and stuffed with custard or jam, then fried in oil, frosted and sprinkled. Scherer told ABC News, that they taste exceptional and have a flavor profile that is really similar to rice pudding and a texture like kugel.… Full Story

(PCM) It has just been announced that Kraft is issuing a wide-spread recall on packages of their Kraft American Singles cheese. While the recall is voluntary, Kraft Food Group believes that close to 7,000 cases of cheese could be affected.
The recall stems from the fact that one of the company’s suppliers had out of standard storage temperatures for one of its’ ingredients.
There are four different variations of the Kraft American Singles are part of the recall. Check your fridge for “best when used by” dates of Feb. 20, 2015 and Feb. 21, 2015.
Thus far there have been no illnesses reported by anyone who has consumed the cheese, however Kraft is still recommending that customers return the cheese to the place of purchase for a full refund.… Full Story

(PCM) 61 year old Doug Wilkey has become so fed up with a kid’s lemonade stand in his neighborhood that he has even gone as far as to call City Hall and the local authorities in an attempt to have it shut down.
The kid, 12 year old T.J. Guerrero runs the lemonade stand on a residential corner in his Dunedin, Florida neighborhood and says that he has received permission from the person who owns the home on the corner where the stand is located to post a sign on the lawn and run the table from 3-7pm.
Wilkey is calling the T.J.’s lemonade stand, which also sells homemade cookies and strawberry lemonade an “illegal business” and claims it creates excessive traffic in the area, as well as, noise, trash, illegal parking and other issues that reduce the value of his property.… Full Story

Recently, 16-year old diabetic Brad Weidner and his family were visiting the Delsea Drive-In in Vineland, NJ and were kicked out of the establishment because Brad had a backpack on him that contained some juice and candy.
Brad suffers from Type-1 diabetes and carries a backpack with him at all times that contains insulin, an Epi-pen, a juice box and some candy that he can eat in case his blood sugar were to drop suddenly.… Full Story

(PCM) From the very same creator that brought the world the glorious pastry invention known as the cronut, Chef Dominique Ansel has now debuted the pretzel lobster tail.
Ansel claims that he was inspired to create the pretzel lobster tail when thinking about summer and despite it’s name and shape, the new pastry contains no actual seafood.
The pretzel lobster tail is made up of soft pretzel and then stuffed with homemade peanut butter and buttercrunch brittle. It is then rolled and shaped into bite size pieces that are easy to consume.
The lobster tail is sprinkled with Maldon sea salt and the creation is served with a buttery dipping sauce made up of honey and browned butter.… Full Story

(PCM) Restaurant patrons in the town of Stillwater, Minnesota are up in arms about the $0.35 minimum wage that has been added to their food bills. Many have already taken to social media to voice their concerns and outrage.
The Oasis restaurant claims that the $0.35 charge to the customers bill is to offset the cost of an increased minimum wage for tipped employees. The restaurant owners claim that the new pay increase is costing them more than $10,000 a year.
The owners go on to tell the CBS news station in Minnesota that “if the state would pass a tip credit, like 43 other states have done, than there would be no issue at all”.… Full Story

Back in October of 2013, Federer, who is a very active social media user, posted to his Twitter account asking for an athlete to compete against him in any other sport. Tragically, the woman’s husband passed away in March of this year and in order to help keep the tradition alive, the woman’s daughter volunteered to take her mother to dinner to celebrate the anniversary.

While I don’t want to brag, I have to say that I consider myself to be a coffee aficionado of sorts and while I adore coffee at anytime of year, I especially enjoy trying all of the new iced coffee drinks when summertime rolls around.

(PCM) Recently, Domino’s Pizza has partnered up with technology company Nuance to create “Dom”, which is a mobile voice to assist customers with voice-enabled ordering.
Much like Apple’s Siri, “Dom” can be called upon for the Domino’s Pizza iOS or Android app. You can vocally tell “Dom” how you like your pizza and he will assist you with creating the perfect pizza pie.
While we have not tried it out for ourselves just yet, sources claim that “Dom” has a very natural and humanlike voice and the experience is meant to be the same as if you were ordering the pizza by phone and speaking with a real human being.… Full Story

(PCM) Bakery and restaurant chain Panera has revealed an all new policy regarding their food which is said to be fully in place by the year 2016. The company’s new promise is to remove all artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners and preservatives from the food served in their restaurants.
The decision was made after numerous studies have shown that people have a growing dislike for food that is artificially processed and are more likely to seek out restaurants that are free of artificial substances and feature healthier alternatives.

After the company received numerous inquires as to whether or not their claim that the brisket on their new brisket sandwich is actually smoked for 13 hours, they have featured the brisket in their newest commercial. The commercial shows the entire 13-hour process of the brisket being smoked before it is then frozen and sent off to the individual restaurants.
